The Hamilton Community Land Trust (HCLT) is pleased to announce our receipt of an Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) grant in the amount of $75,900. This grant will build the HCLT’s capacity over the next year to identify neighbourhood land-use priorities, pursue land acquisition opportunities, and establish partnerships for the development of real estate projects that will meet community needs.

Organized by local resident volunteers, the Hamilton Community Land Trust has established partnerships with the Social Planning & Research Council of Hamilton (SPRC) and Good Shepherd Hamilton to administer and develop the Project. The grant will enable the HCLT to hire a Project Director, hold community meetings and workshops, and host a one-day conference for the community.

Thank you to the Ontario Trillium Foundation and to our amazing volunteers and supporters who have made this possible. We have an exciting year ahead with many more announcements to come!

The HCLT is a non-profit corporation that owns land in the name of citizens and leases it back to social-purpose organizations and individuals in order to help meet needs that are prioritized by the community.
