This past June, the HCLT released its formal 5-Year Action Plan. Compiled from 2 years of in-depth community research, the Action Plan lays out key accomplishments of the past 2 years, discusses some of the challenges experienced in developing the CLT model, identifies 5 priority areas to be achieved during the life of the plan, and includes a proposed budget for the next 2 years.

Accomplishments include the creation of the corporation, appointment of the Board, creating by-laws and entering into a collaboration agreement with SPRC to apply for and administer the OTF grant. The project also developed strong relationships with other organizations in Hamilton as well as with members of the public who volunteered and participated in our various visioning and planning sessions.

If you’d like to see the full report, it is available here.

The HCLT is a non-profit corporation that owns land in the name of citizens and leases it back to social-purpose organizations and individuals in order to help meet needs that are prioritized by the community.
